Let me start off by saying I am a huge Steel Panther fan. Being a Panther fan of course I have all of their CDs and the live DVDs. With that being said, Feel the Steel Panthers first album there's definitely the way to come out of the gate as a band, great debut album. Lower the Bar is almost as good. The album has been out for around 2 years now and to me, it has still held up. Sometimes and album seems good to a fan simply because it's new, I have experienced that myself with several bands through the years. This album actually is good, 2 years later. The songs definitely possess the raunchy Steel Panther spirit, and they Rock! Very catchy tunes. I'm not a 10 year old boy, as one reviewer suggested a Steel Panther fan would probably be, but a lifelong rock and roll fan. This album isn't just silly lyrics or smutty lyrics for that matter, but does show off the skill that these guys actually possess as a band. This album, had to come out in the 80s, would have been one of the top sounding albums of that time just due to the musicianship, and catchy hooks. I could go on and on, trying to convince people to buy this, but I won't. I will say that if you enjoy listening to music that's fun and makes you want to bang your head and jam, this is a CD for you!
