It’s a book about the travelling inside thyself, original in its attempt to edit the chaos of human being with the self-knowledge, by means of penetrating in the crannies of European anthropogeography, by coding his way with anagrammas. The travelling on the tracks of one manuscript easily leads away to an association with “The name of the rose”, but keeps secret the complex and the depth of suggestions by making to hold in one harmonious text the poetical melancholy of Greek literature, the aesthetic of Hellenism and the cult of individuality and to supplement them with the universality of Latin literature, with its entire genre many-sided and its devotion to philosophy and religiousness. An interesting novel of Alexis Stamatis, where pages take you a risk to find or to lose yourself. I think the epilogue in the book helps you to do rather the first.
